(mainland europe). Depending on the laws of your country, the person paying for the work may own first right of copy to it anyway, so point one may be moot. Check the copyright laws of your country on this. If the contract wouldn't allow me to use the images at all, I would put a premium on the pictures, and would ask permission of the site owners to return at a future date and retake the pictures for my own purposes, were I so inclined as to wish to use them.
