This UV treatment may not work in the case of having the setup inside a window, as most windows will block or partially filter out UV. I think to give it a good tryout, place directly in sun, no windows. I'm sure it would be best to act with caution and not to do so on excessively hot days, or do so for short exposures several times during hot weather. Don't know for sure, but the glass might crack with intense heat over extended exposure.
