Looks like you're in SL2 mode (at least that's what it's called on the 540). This puts the flash into A or M flash mode with wireless. See if you can put the flash into SL1 mode which provides P-TTL wireless. Switching between these two modes on the 540 requires holding the light/format button for two seconds then pressing the select button to toggle between SL1/SL2. To save the setting I have to hit the light/format button again.
