Frustrating, isn't it? I imagine it happens to all of us much more than
most will mention.
It is  distractingly soft, at least for my taste. If that is your
intent, may I suggest you give the viewer a hint through a title or
comment. Nothing wrong with that expression form certainly, but it
causes interpretation confusion unless somehow made clear.
As you've likely read here before, but to many viewers, a portrait
demands that at lest the near eye be in focus. A pretty good rule among
many that needn't be observed.
