I went through a merger. The first thing that happened was the new creative director called me in and told me how I was making a lot more than his long-time employees (friends). I hung in for a few years, but eventually was layed off. My lawyer got a substantial settlement. Now I'm working for about half as much as I once made and I'm in the throes of another merger. Could get ugly. Who knows? I've been working since I was eleven years old-- forty-seven years ago. I'm tired, and I don't want to do it anymore, but I can't see any way out for quite a few years to come. Oh well. Paul On Jan 28, 2007, at 7:10 PM, David J Brooks wrote:
