Some crap companies? Practically everything has bl**dy doubled. Pubs and restaurants are particularly bad. Just a few days ago, I drove by a "friterie" (the Belgian equivalent of a fish and chips shop for the Brits) where they advertised "moules frites" (mussels and chips) for 17 euros. If he had offered his mussels at 700 francs, a few years ago, people would have told him to have his head examined. A cup of coffee has risen from 20 francs (50 cent) to somewhere between 1,20 and 1,60. Maybe here in Germany, it's more obvious. At a rate of 2 deutschmarks = 1 euro, everything that sold for one mark before now costs one euro. We call it the "teuro", from "teuer" = expensive. I for one want my marks and francs back.
