        The Winders scheduler is agreeably horrible.  After adding a few 
things (like virtual desktops, etc) and turning off the condescending 
Tele-Tubby icons, the Winders desktop is almost useable.  Of course, once 
one wants to *DO* anything while something is going on in the background, 
it becomes single-tasking again just like the default GUI.

        Sheesh... UNIX has been doing this for 20 years.
