I can understand the confusion with some one who doesn't own one. But from an owner ????
I had a really sweet Malamute "Bear" - about 125 to 135 lbs - & when we were out for a walk alot of people would ask if he was a husky. Very few got it right. BTW he was the nicest animal with young kids. Liked to play with them, rolling babies on the floor & just being friendly with them. Most people never got that far with him as they were put off by his size, but he always was a real puppy dog. He never showed aggressive tendencies unless someone showed aggression towards me. Lived for 13 years. I miss him but not the work it took to take of him.
