Yeah, collapsible hoods tend to collapse:-). I have one on my  
A400/5.6. Of course if you aim the lens toward a bird up in a tree,  
the hood collapses. I installed a ring to upsize the filter thread to  
82mm and bought a metal hood to fit. I needed the ring to accommodate  
my best circular polarizer anyway.
