A sense of humour is a very personal thing. I found the Ka commercial was pretty heavily on the negative side of the "funny vs. nasty" scale. But, like you, I didn't react that badly to the Polo commercial, although I felt that perhaps the neckerchief in black/white houndstooth check could well have been omitted without spoiling the joke.
