I find the concept interesting, but the crooked vertical seems distracting. It doesn't really serve a purpose here IMO. And while I'm viewing it on an imperfect monitor, I think the rendering is a bit muddy and flat. I would straighten the verticle, brighten it overall and add some more contrast (using curves). But others may see it differently.
