I wonder if it was the new HSM design that was holding release of this and 100-300/4 DG lenses. (So, that Sigma was waiting for K10D to show up on the market to study its design, so that they can engineer HSM and test it with the body.) If that is true, maybe 100-300/4 will show up soon as well. ----- I figured that once Sigma got their hands on a K10D, there would be HSM lenses forthcoming for Pentax mount. But I would stay away from this lens. It is not nearly as sharp at 200 mm as is Sigma's older non-macro, non-HSM version, which is also available for Pentax.
