Hi Pentaxians
I have been away from the list for nearly a week and therefore late with
saying thank you to:

Godfrey, Scott, Marnie, Ann, Kenneth, Bob, Bruce, David and Jack and
everybody else looking and commenting on my PESO.

It was indeed not sepia but some kind of very slightly brown toning applied
via an action to the photograph. It adds a little warmth and surprisingly
also
some depth onto some photographs for me without altering the image too much.

The second original color version can be seen in it's nearly "full beauty"
of 2024x1400 pixel for some days at www.mypage.bluewin.ch/solicom.
Just click on the thumbnail of 512x512 pixel for the full size.
The tower of the Swiss National Museum is not hidden by trees here, some may
like that version more and a print of that view at 30x45cm from the photo
lab
looks quite good for me despite my limiting scanner and other equipment.

greetings
Markus

Yes, Markus' toning is reminiscent of Michael Kenna's toning palette.
I was at the Steven Wirtz Gallery in SF last Friday ... they're the
local hub for MK's work since they represent him in this area ... and
enjoyed a half hour studying about ten of his photographs on display
there. Wonderful stuff, MK has a superb eye.
