Good one for your first part, I never thought of that, yes I guess you could scratch up the Kmount lensmount installing lenses if you were not careful, but that goes somewhat for screwmount too but not to the same extent.
Wrong on the second part though. the M42x1 threads on a screwmount lens are massive and well made ( even on the cheapest quality lenses and bodies I have ever encountered) that it is impossible to cross thread the lens by hand or unintentionally. I have never had/seen a single lens or body with damaged threads or even come remotely close to cross threading a lens on body. ANYBODY ELSE?
