That's the beauty of owning Pentax.

I ordered my Black 31 Ltd. 13/12/06 and it was in my hand 06/02/07.

I tend to email my local store. I used to go in person, or call, but
they know me quite well there now. I usually get a reply the same day,
 but if I don't hear anything after a day or 2, I call them to ask for
an update.

You have to keep at them (camera stores), if you don't they won't
think your a serious customer. Once you build up a relationship with a
camera store, prompt & reliable communication is the norm.
