After the first ice/snow storm I expected more ice as well. Well you work with what you've got. I bracketed around the suggested exposure a lot and this was the closest I got to any detail in that corner. The dynamic range was well beyond the ability of the sensor to capture it and have any detail in the shadows at all. (I didn't have a tripod only a monopod so combining multiple shots was beyond the scope of the exercise).
