Could you please tell me a bit more why the water do not work here for you?
Do you think it would have been better without flash in natural light and
the camera on a tripod or what else could I have done?
The rain water is real and not faked btw.

Glad that you liked the girls photos and I will try adjusting the "reading
one" again for some better midtones.

Nope. The water doesn't really work here. I've tried that as well,
without success. It's tough. But the other two pics you posted today
are superb. Two out of three is a very good percentage:-).
