I got my battery grip for the K10D. It's very nice. I was surprised that that the camera cant' be turned on by using the second (vertical) on/off button! I guess it's only there, so I can turn it off, in order to avoid firering the shutter unintendedly - while holding the camera in horisontally. My extra battery is on it's way. Having two batteries can be very usefull, when it is cold. I can keep one in my pocket and one in the camera. Then change batteries if the first one gets too cold!
