it's easy to switch it off, and you don't damage anything. It's very stupid to have it as a default. They even had the little tail-wagging dog as the default on XP Pro. I mean, they called the operating system 'PRO', and had something for kids on one of the most basic functions. We'll see how compatibility issues go. > I've gone from MS Office to Open Office and back again. I really like Outlook 2003 as an organiser & calendar - I'd be lost without it. Open Office just didn't do enough for me to make it worth running alongside MS Office, so I removed it from my machine. It's also surprisingly clunky and has quite a few Java nasties in it, as I recall. Even something like Word 2003 works well when you understand it and have set it up the way you want, to support the way you work. The trouble is it's difficult to learn, and the defaults are about as bad as they could be. Bob -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
