William, I can swear my AthlonXP not only didn't like Lightroom much, it seemed to reject it by every way it could ;)
Seriously, when Lightroom was updating its thumbnails on this PCn the PC was totally unusable. Not slow but simply unusable. I was really scared (was that even a beta?). Indeed the SSE2 thing explains it well enough. Try it on a non SSE2 CPU, just for the fun of it :) 2007/2/20, William Robb <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Mark Roberts" > Subject: Re: lightroom performance :: problems on a PC, etc > > > > Godfrey DiGiorgi wrote: > > > >>John goes on to say "...Any other AMD users be aware that the > >>earliest AMD CPUs to have SSE2 are the Athlon 64s.
