Not that big IMO at least compared to the 16-45. Mmm I nice thing (to be confirmed) is that the distance scale is not written on the barrel but under a little plastic glass. If I refer to the other recent lenses with this distance scale (those I know) which are DA14, DF50, DFA100, it means focus ring should not turn when when AF focussing (with SDM I suppose it is obvious) with screwdriver AF.
