Thanks to everyone for the comments. Yes, I used the E-1 and the 14-54 lens. I am very impressed with these 2 bits of kit - they feel very robust and trustworthy. The camera is incredibly easy to use and works really well; the matrix metering seems to be very reliable on the whole.
The lens is very sharp. Its colour-handling is very good too, although not in the same league as the way the Carl Zeiss lenses handle colour, which are the best I've ever seen.
