I am a little ashamed to admit, the subject line is true. I plugged my M100 f4 macro onto the front. I also tried my FA35-80 f4-f5.6. Then I put some film in. When I try on manual, the shutter won't release at all, at various shutter speeds, although it goes down halfway and a red light comes on in the viewfinder by the LTB symbol, although once I briefly got a yellow light before it went to LTB. When I set it to automatic, no matter how much light or what aperture, the shutter (or mirror) stays open (or up) for at least a few seconds. I don't know how long it would stay if I left it alone, probably forever. I left it for about hr once and it still didn't shut (before I put film in). But as soon as I turn the shutter-speed off automatic, it clicks shut.
What is happening? I was sure the M-lens at least would be compatible. Battery perhaps? Please help. I have a B&W photography night-course starting in a few weeks and I don't really want to insult the art by using my MZ-30, although will if I have to. I still haven't taken one decent photo with it. I took a couple today, but moved the camera around to see what was happening, so I don't expect any masterpieces. Jody. Listen to your Yahoo!
