Yes, get RAM in that box! 2G minimum ... I recommend pumping it full right to the limit. More RAM helps. I wouldn't dream of running CS2 on an Apple Intel system with less than 2G of RAM. If I were starting now, I'd download Lightroom on the free trial and work with it for a while. Lightroom has enough editing (cropping, rotation, spotting, tonal adjustment, color balancing, sharpening, etc) that it does about 95% of what I used to do in the combination of PS CS2 + Bridge + Camera Raw. It's meant to work with Photoshop when you need higher level editing (layers, selections, compositing, etc). You might find it does everything you need and until April 30 it's $199 (US Pricing). Then I'd wait for CS3. Now that Lightroom has been released, I haven't touched Bridge or Camera Raw much, and the amount that I use Photoshop has gone down enormously.
