I'd bet that the PEF/DNG files have the correct lens codes, but the table of lens names built into Lightroom doesn't contain them (so, of course, Lightroom correctly reports "Unknown"; that doesn't mean Lightroom can't identify which lens took the photos, but only that it doesn't know the human-readable name of the lens). > The focal > length is reported properly when I look at the metadata for specific > image files, but the lens name is not.
