I've been very pleased with mine, especially paired up with the 16-45/4, on both the *ist D and the K10D. I shoot it more at the long end than the short, and I haven't noticed any particular softness. But I don't typically go searching for stuff like that, either. Yep, I'd really like the 60-200 (?) SDM/HSM/SSM/whatever that's coming leter in the year.
