I'm afraid I can't help you Boris. But I really hope some can. This is very interesting. I've had big performance problems myself after installing v1.0. If you are right about this, it may be the solution of my problems too.
It would also solve another issue for me. Storing the db files on my external drive make it a lot easier to move from one machine to another.
