I haven't really used PhotoShop LE very much, but in PhotoShop 5.02 and
6.0, the clone tool is represented in the shape of a rubber stamp with
an arrow at the bottom. The arrow is the center of your "cloned" area.
How much it picks up depends on the size of the brush. But I like the
fact that the tool identifies the center. Once you take your finger off
the option key (on a Mac) and prepare to place the coned area, a circle
indicates the dimension. Recalling where the center of my clone was
located, I can then easily place the circle of cloned material. Of
course you can easily undo your placement if you miss the spot.
