A *big* advantage of the 5n is spot focusing (in addition to the regular
3-point AF), where it focuses only on the center sensor instead of
choosing one out of the three for you.  There's also DOF preview.

Not that I can think of.  The A50/1.4 is a beautiful lens, but for people
who are using it for snapshots an AF version might be easier.
