Hi Ann
As important as company logos are, placing them on top of the site forces me
to scroll the picture at 1280x960 pixel to see it fully here.
Therefore, I would make the preview picture smaller or even better place the
logo from the left top down to the bottom to gain lots of space at the top.
The description text is a bit tiny at that resolution. A watermark sign
like Jens signature looks a lot nicer for me, it does not have to be your
real one.
Otherwise I'm really looking forward to see more of your new website.
greetings
Markus

Jens, that was Dave Brooks who had seen his work ripped off in reply to
Marnie, who doesn't use watermarks (yet)
..sometimes interweaving responses gets confusing!)

I stayed up until 3 am last night working on my new web site for photos
on smugmug
I really love the site... a bit of frustration at first, but now I'm
digging it. Much work yet to do.

Re watermarking, I settled on this, for the moment -

http://tinyurl.com/2jfmlp

Ala Godders, I want people to know who took the photo and how to reach
me but
don't want the info to interfere with the photo. I jsut made a png file
in photoshop
and adusted the transparancy myself - then loaded it to the site where
it does the
watermarking for you and you can chose where you want it placed...

A friend of mine uses a signature style and I worried about him putting
his signature out
there until I realized it wasn't really his signature, just a script
font from his files :)
