I'd say two things detract for me...

One is that it seems generally unsharp, probably because of shooting at f/4 
and handheld (guessing) at 1/80.  I'd probably opt for ISO 800 and an 
aperture of f/8 or higher

The second is that I find that with 'boardwalk receding in to distance 
perspective' shots, a centered boardwalk works better in vertical/portrait 
compositions than it does in horizontal landscapes.

That being said, I also like the idea, the sky was nice, and I'd go back and 
work that scene, possibly even setting the camera right on the boardwalk 
itself.
