Every year, the UK magazine Amateur Photographer selects what is, in their opinion, the best product in a range of categories for equipment released during the year. The 24th. February issue carried this year's selections, and the K100D got the gong for Novice Digital SLR. The Canon EOS30D got the Enthusiast Digital SLR, with the Nikon D2XS getting the Expert Digital SLR award. Best of all, Pentax has taken a 3-page fold-out ad from the front cover to spruik the award and the camera's features, so they are getting their act together with regard to marketing at last. I take back all my previous negative comments about AP and their preference for Canon - well, almost everything
