I like the photos.

But I've been wondering about the "total lunar eclipse visible here in 
europe." I saw some other postings about it indicating it would only be 
visible from Europe, but I could see it quite well from here in NC (USA).

The absolute moment of totality may have been before moonrise on the 
east coast of the US. I don't know because I was in a meeting that 
didn't get out until it was already above the horizon here, but it was 
pretty close to totality when I first saw it.

Unfortunately, I then had to drive a long way before I reached any place 
where I could get a decent photograph (my own idea was to frame it with 
a church steeple near my home), and it was only about 3/4 eclipsed by 
the time I got there, so I didn't bother.

But I did get a good view of the edge of light moving across the face of 
the moon as it passed out of earth's shadow, since it was dead center of 
my windshield for most of the drive home.
