No kidding!  And in fact I spent two+ very fascinating years there, quite 
voluntarily!  Despite the (mainly French-inspired legends) the island is a 
dramatically beautiful place, with a fantastic climate, and the friendliest 
people in the world.  In five or so years time there may be an air link, so all 
PDML'ers should start saving now for the trip of a lifetime.  Have a look at:
