The October gallery is, without exception, excellent. Special comments:

David Dixon - "Air & Water - Durham" - a fantastic sky, and a fantastic shot
of that sky, David

Edward Kreis - "Coming . . ." - another fantastic sky, and I like the
lightposts on the left.

Dick Jones - "Sun and Fog, Big Sur" - I like it, but I wish you could have
gotten more detail into the rocks i the foreground.

Joseph Tainter - "Sidibe" - a perfect subject, a perfect setting and perfect
composition. A little sharper, perhaps, and a bit more contrast?

Ivers Krenklis - "fire Sculpture" - two of you from Latvia, then? I guess
I'll have to go back again. I like it - what is it? St. John's day
celebration?

Alastair Robertons - "Lightning Bolt" - don't be shy: you captured the
lightning bolt magnificently.

Mick Maguire - "Fall Kayak" - I remember Dartmouth well; I like the colors
and I like the composition - especially the 2 'booms' hovering over the
river. Rescan it and 'do the colors justice' and send it to me, please!

Jaume Lahuerta - "Dune du Pilat" - nice! Good eye!

John Coyle - "Water Power" - a powerful shot! (Oversharpened IMHO)

Gary L. Murphy - "Lighthouse" - perfect. Good composition, good sky, I like
the pier/breakwater running to the left of the lighthouse itself. Looks
good!

Leon Altoff - "Something Fishy" - good sense of the absurd - I like the
fish-face! Did you finally feed it?

Matjaz Osojnik - "The Sea" - I like the ripples in the sea: you have
captured them well.
