Based on observation  I'd agree with you. But it would be nice if they 
added an official  definition for it to the others they have on the site 
already. So we could  know for certain and not have to make educated 
guesses "based on  observation".

I would suspect, seriously, the Pentax  Gallery was one person's brain child. 
And, in reality, they don't have enough  people to view and judge the photos. 
Maybe just that one person. Or two or  three. So it's gonna take a while. On 
hold may literally mean on hold -- in  other words, it has not been assigned 
to a gallery yet. 

You guys are too  self depreciating.
