It does for me. I just dump a 16-bit file into the SFW option and it converts to 8-bit, 72-ppi and sRGB unlsee told otherwise. Been doing it that way off and on for some time. Maybe some people have their SFW options set differently than mine - I don't know, just know what works for me.
