I had this experience where I stepped into an elevator to head up to
the 11th floor. I was alone and the 8th floor button (...to the tune
of the soundtrack of Twilight Zone...) was already lit even before I
got in. So the elevator (okay, "lift" to some...) stopped and the
doors opened at the 8th floor, which was an empty floor. No one
occupied it and there were no walls or partitions of any kind and it
was littered with some stuff from the previous tenant. It was dark
from where I was but since there were no curtains or blinds on the
windows, the sunlight was glaring and cast even deeper shadows.

I had never been to that floor before so there was a sense of shock,
surprise and just as the doors closed, a sense of awe. I have seen
photos trying to capture scenes similar to that, but it was different
being there & I can only imagine the emotions behind photographs like
those. I tried returning to that floor much later with a camera but
by then a new tenant had occupied it...

We could suggest that as a PUG theme for later...
