Marn, I had the great fortune to film on the set of Morse, and film an
interview with John Thaw, and I can tell you without hesitation that he
was one of the most charming and intelligent actors I have ever come
across. He was a real pleasure to observe - even for such a short time -
and I took along a mono pic I had downloaded of him from the internet
for him to autograph - which he did without hesitation - that was later
auctioned at a charity event my wife was involved with. He was a
gentleman personified.

What a bloke.
