Maybe it doesn't even need a drink or a smoke for a blackout Jens ;-)
The "blackouts" showed as heavily underexposed photos later on the computer,
on the LCD of the K10D they appeared completely black.
One of the problems with small objects and close-ups and auto flash is
pointing the sensor precisely, I must have missed that on some of the test
shots.
greetings
Markus

Hi Jens
have a look at my sample PESO in the next days, I'm testing the K10D with
different flashes like the AF280T and Metz 32MZ-3 and more in auto modes.
I still do not understand the blackouts I get sometimes but the first flower
macros with the Pentax AF280T look promising for me :-)
greetings
Markus

Paul, David, Markus.
Thanks. I guess flash compensation is easy if are not using TTL. I just have
to make the flash believe that my ISO value is higher than it is. The flash
will put out less light. With P-TTL iit's easy too, because compensation can
be dialled in to the flash unit. This is kind of easy to remember, I
suppose.

Yes, I said it backwards. F8 on the flash, f11 on the camera. Senility
strikes again.
