"It's a "Great Egret", I think." Thanks. I didn't know for sure. Have you ever seen or heard of a KaraKara? They are a bird of prey, sorta like an Eagle, not quite as big. Has a hair do that make him look like Elvis on a "bad hair day"! There was one in a tree, but way too far for my 200mm. Some Canon shooters were there with the big guns, 600mm, 2X and one had an 800mm I believe. The viewfinder image was nice, but the bird was looking backwards 90% of the time.
