My 30 bit HP is very prone to banding with Kodachrome. My friends 48 bit LEAF handles it very nicely. Kodachrome has a very high D-Max, I think still the highest of any slide film. Congratulations on the A 100mm macro. It is one of the better lenses out there, nearly as good as the FA 77mm, but with much closer focusing. Even the bokeh is pretty good.
