Good deal for them, they get you to bypass the labour intensive part of the process so they can lay people off, then they charge you extra for saving them money. I told one bank to go F&*k themselves when they tried to pull a stunt on me a few years ago. I went into a branch to pay my VISA (drawn on their bank) and they tried to hit me with a service fee. I told them they could shove their card and the balance owed into their nether regions. I never did pay that card off. When they tried to collect, I made so much trouble for them they dropped the issue and ate the balance. Funny thing, they sent me an application for a card a few years later, so I applied for fun, expecting to get a Dear Squid letter, but they issued a card. I was amazed, to be sure.
