I have owned the M 85/2. It's not sharp below 5.6 - 8. I wouldn't bother getting this one, but rather go for an SMC-A 85mm/1.4 or SMC-FA 85mm/1.4 or a SMC-K 85mm/1.8. I own the latter, whic h is excellent. I don't know the others, but I suspect that the SMC-M 50mm/1.4 is good Jens Bladt
