I'm a great believer in what I'd call the "Blink" 
(http://www.gladwell.com/blink/) theory of photo interpretation: An 
immediate first impression of "wow" means a lot more than all the 
analysis, deconstruction and "picking apart" that inevitably takes 
place afterwards.
