:-)

The sensor will be some substantial fraction of the size of the 645
film format, as seen in the photographs of the K10D vs 645D sensor
chips. To enable the 645 series lenses and such to be used, the lens
mount/register/lenses/viewfinder system have to be close to the same
size as for the 645 film model, which establishes the basic
dimensions of the chassis. That's what usually sets the size for a
medium format SLR.

The area where it could lose some size is the depth behind the focus
plane since it doesn't need the film transport drive and insert,
needs space for the SD/CF card cages, LCD, etc instead. I think that
it will be a little shorter front to back, maybe saving an inch or
so, but that's about it.

I'm betting it will be very similar in size and weight to the 645NII
model, overall. That doesn't bother me at all for this kind of
camera. A system kit with a wide and a very wide lens, lots of
battery power and storage cards, a sturdy tripod and remote
release ... I'll be in heaven.

If I'm not in debtor's prison... ;-)
