Peter,
I haven't seen any 'cut-out' switches on any of the pre-M series cameras.
That includes KX, KM, K2, or ESII, ES, or ElectroSpotmatic.
And of course the Spotmatic had no hot shoe.
Maybe the cameras inbetween??
