Can confirm that :-) I ran out of the first battery (in the body) somewhere arround 850, then replaced it by the one that was in the grip, and that ran out about 100 images later. So that gives me roughly 450 shots per battery. That said, this was the first charge for both, and and i do a lot of chimping and checking histograms. And of course I also played with the menus a bit when I just got the camera ...
