Hi Paul -

The K10D defaults to 1/180th with an A or M lens. With birds I like to 
set the exposure to ambient light conditions and then let the flash just 
serve as fill - so often the shutter speed needs to be less than 
1/180th. Right now to do that you have to shoot in manual mode and dial 
in the shutter speed (or use the green button) - in aperture priority 
the camera defaults to 1/180th. I'd love to be able to just set it to 
aperture priority, have the shutter speed drop down to whatever is 
needed, and then let the flash just be for fill. I think that with slow 
shutter sync and an F or higher lens, it works that way.
