Current version of Bridge is v1.0.4.6 on Mac OS X.

Turn off services, like Adobe Stock Photos, if you don't want the  
application to try to reach the internet.

I *think* download updates to Adobe Photoshop and Bridge are  
coordinated through Photoshop on Mac OS X...
